Oosterhof Holman Milieutechniek (OHM) actively develops projects for land-based wind power generation. Services offered include site selection, permitting, dimensioning of the wind turbine, selection of suppliers and construction management.

 

Site selection - not all sites are equally favourable. Ideally, a wind turbine is placed on top of a gently rounded hill rising from a flat plain covered with short grass or surrounded by water. The preferred soil type is sand. Most sites do not need these criteria, and thus careful planning is needed to maximize power production. Our technical team, together with those of the supplier, can tackle these problems.

 

Permitting - before a wind turbine is placed a permit from the appropriate authorities is usually needed. OHM can assist in this process by supplying information or to apply for the permit altogether.

 

Dimensioning - the wind near the ground usually varies greatly and depends on local topography, temperature variations, and obstructions nearby. Usually, the higher the turbine, the more uniform the wind distribution is. OHM can determine the requirements for optimal power production.

 

Suppliers - OHM can supply wind turbines from all mayor manufactures. You can select your preferred supplier, or let OHM select one for you.

 

Construction management - project planning, financial control, dealing with subcontractors, warranties. This, and all other items concerning construction management, can be handled for you by OHM.

 

In short, OHM can be your on-stop project manager for your wind power project.
