At the heart of the biogas plant is the Anaerobic Digester (AD). In several steps micro-organisms convert organic materials in biogas, a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide. Depending on the feedstock, biogas contains around 55-65% methane.
Our biogas plants operate either mesophilic (at 37-41°C) or thermophilic (at 50-52°C) , depending on the customers wishes. The digester is a single-stage digestion system. This means that the entire conversion process takes place in one reactor. Utilizing a single stage reduces construction costs
